Richard "Jerry" Sills, age 66, died Thursday, November 25 at Hospice Ministries, Inc. in Ridgeland.

Family will receive visitors from 3 - 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 28 and 10 - 11 a.m. on Monday, November 29 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 29 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton with graveside service following at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Jerry was born 8-9-44 in Jackson, MS, to T.D. and Alma Little Sills. He graduated from Central High School in Jackson. He joined the National Guard and served 25 years, retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). He worked for the Jackson Water/Sewer Business Administration for 32 years, retiring as superintendent of Meter Reading Services. While there he served on the Credit Committee of the Jackson Federal Credit Union. He was a member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church and J. Dodd Brooks Sunday School class.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, T.D. and Alma Sills, and brothers Milford Sills and Billy Joe Sills.

Jerry is survived by wife Terri Denson Sills; two sons, Rick (Debbie) Sills of Dallas, GA, and Kelly Sills of Clinton, MS; beloved grandson, Tyler, of Dallas, GA; brothers, T.D. (June) Sills, Jr. of Clinton, and Charles Glen Sills (Bonnie) of Madison; sisters, Peggy (Bill) Araiza of Lake Hills, TX, Nell (Jim) Fortenberry of Shreveport, LA, and Jane (Larry) Raffield of Madison.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morrison Heights Building Fund or Hospice Ministries, Inc.
